Gregory M. Walker, 56, died at home surrounded by loved ones on July 27, 2017, after a valiant 21-month battle with brain cancer. Rosary, 7 p.m., Sunday, July 30; Funeral Mass, 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 31, both at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in St. Mark, KS. Greg, never a complainer, lived life to the fullest and followed his dads adage, "it is what it is". Greg was an expert machinist and worked for many years at Blanchet Machine and Cessna in Wichita. Greg later moved to St. Louis with Valenite Tools and then started his own company, Walker Precision Machinery. Greg enjoyed golf, softball, water skiing, boating and spending time on the lake. He valued his friends and good time and was a Manhattan connoisseur. Greg is survived by his beautiful wife, Judy (Partsch) Walker, who converted him to a Cardinals fan; step-daughter, Meghan of LaHabra, CA; mother, Jeanette Walker of Colwich, KS; 8 siblings, Ted (Colleen) Walker of Lawrence, KS, Linda (Jim) Fitzgerald of Wichita, Carol (Denny) Lawlor of Lake Quivira, KS, Annette (Mark) Joy of Wichita, Tim (Sue) Walker of Wichita, Mary (Chip) Martin of Fayetteville, AR, Cindy (Dan) Rich of Ft. Worth, TX, and Stephen Walker of Seoul, South Korea. Greg was a loving and generous uncle to his 23 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Walker of Wichita; father-in-law, William Partsch of Romeoville, IL; mother-in-law, Kathleen (OShea) Partsch of St. Louis, MO; sister-in-law, Susie (Hohl) Walker of Wichita, and nephew, Ryan Walker of Lawrence, KS. Greg will also be missed by his 4 furry, fluffy, feline friends, Snuggles, Missy, Raymond and Socks. Greg will be dearly missed by us all.
