Rebecca Ann (Koerner) Middleton

July 25, 1954 ~ February 13, 2023
Rebecca Ann (Koerner) Middleton, 68, of Wichita, KS, passed away February 13, 2023. Becky was born July 25, 1954, to Ann and Roman Koerner.
A lifelong resident of Wichita, Kansas, she was a 1972 graduate of South High School. Becky married the love of her life Todd, on October 18, 1992, and from that day forward she was his Queen Bee. In the early years of their marriage, they indulged in hunting and other outdoor activities. More recently their time was spent simply enjoying one another’s company. A cherished piece of their enjoyment together, included their much-loved dogs, with Junebug in particular, who had captured a space in Becky’s heart. In her visits to Oregon, Becky bonded with her daughter Kelly kayaking on the river, exploring in the mountains, and crabbing on the sea. An adventurous soul, she was a world traveler who treasured time abroad, whether with her daughter or friends. While doting on her Prince Jack, she was always contending to be the champion grandma.
Becky held a torch for Wichita, and her diverse influence made a great impact in the arts and numerous charities. A fierce advocate for pickleball in Wichita, she will always be remembered as its matriarch.
Becky is survived by her husband of 30 years, Todd H. Middleton; daughter, Kelly C. (Travis) Larsen; and grandson, Jack of Oregon; siblings, Paul, Michael, Patty (Jesse), Lori (Michael) and Lisa. She was preceded in death by her father, Roman; her mother, Ann; and her sister, Susie.

Good-bye sweet Becky, I will never forget our fun times together. Jane-o
To Todd, Kelly, Jack and Family, my most sincere sympathy for your loss. Losing a loved one as special as Becky will be very difficult, but Becky brought smiles and joy to those who knew her. I ran around with Becky in High School. Sadly, we did not keep in touch. She was always so much fun and full of life. May the warmth and joy of many beautiful and fun memories bring you the reassurance that she lives on with each of you. God bless you, grant you peace and comfort in this sorrowful time.
