Guestbook

  1. Kevin and I invited Nettie and Laurie over for Thanksgiving dinner a couple years ago. Nettie was a hit with our family. She partaked in some wine and we all huddled around the tv to watch football. Her knowledge of football is unreal. She was calling the game as everyone was totally impressed. She is an avid chiefs fan, never misses a game.

For me, I could never get over how fast she could read a book.
I went over to visit her one day and being there for awhile I could tell she was getting antsy. I left knowing she wanted to get back to her book she was reading.

Nettie and I kept sweets, her favorite snacks hidden from Laurie. Nettie thought by hiding the food in her cabinets would be safe, she said Laurie never opened the cabinets. Well, oh yes she does and we got busted.

I’m going to miss Nettie and our conversations, we took turns telling each other horse stories.

    Love you Nettie.

  2. You all are in my prayers. We loved Nettie as we grew up and knowing my dads cousins. Always a positive person in our lives. 🙏❤️

  3. I will always remember the meals we shared (especially her love of watermelon) the football games, and her beautiful smile. She was one of a kind and will be missed.
    My condolences to the family.
    With Love,
    Chris Lassley

  4. So very sorry for your loss !! Nettie was the kindest lady – always so sweet to me way back when I spent a lot of time at the McClay house. Love to all of you ‘kids’ and may her Memory be Eternal.
