How does one sum up 30+ years of friendship? Following are a few examples: Church services @ Westlink Christian Church [now Pathway]; Promise Keepers events, Boulder CO & Washington DC; WCC Youth Missions trip, Tijuana Mexico; multiple men’s events @ WCC; foreign currency exchanges; anniversary celebration…many more. To say he’ll be missed is an understatement as he touched many lives in many ways. So glad to be able to speak with him last week and spend a few minutes. Thanks, Mary for allowing me to do so. Peace to all of Mike’s extended family. What a legacy he leaves!
Mike was a true professional and was a joy to work with at Pratt Industries. He was kind, funny, and a joy to know. He will be missed by all who knew him. My deepest condolences to his wife Mary and their children and grandchildren.
Mike was one of the good guys! He always had a kind word, was always willing to help, and was devoted to his family, faith and friends. To Mary and all his family, you all are in my thoughts and prayers.
Mary Murrow and family, I still am bowing and trying to understand and give all of you care and comfort in this terrible and continuing cancer and his hurting death. We all know that he is now with the Lord for eternity and awaiting each of you his family and us. I’ve been following Mary each time I see her and her living through all this but I know she and each of you are holding on for the Lord’s future and life. I know I can never say or feel enough for you all, but Michael has always been a strong help and fun for me each time we would see each other in BSF and other associated meetings. I was so impressed with his strong and sustaining work and laughter, May all of you be so much like him. I again express my gratitude and prayers for you all. Richard Shoffner

Mary & family, I extend to you my deepest sympathy! I got to know you and Mike through Kathy & Wayne Johnson and I’m so glad to have had the opportunity to have had Mike as a friend for all of these years. He was such a good man; he loved his family and God. My prayers are with you Mary, and all your family, as you travel through this huge change in your lives! May our God grant you His peace and comfort and guide you in the days, weeks and months ahead. Sending you my Love!!!

I ‘m sad to hear of Mike’s passing. He was very helpful when Pratt acquired Love Box in 2005. He continued to be that way any time I asked for something. It was also obvious his dedication to his savior. My prayers are with his family during this time.
In the 15 plus years that I have known Mike, he has been a blessing to our lives. I could relate to his sense of humor and will miss forwarding jokes to him by email. Going on a photo shoot with he and a group of guys from our Sunday school class, going on a cruise with Mike and Mary and just spending time together with the both of them are memories we will always cherish. We both look forward to the time we can be together again for eternity. Steve & Dorothy
Mike was one of my first friends at Indian Hills Jr. High School after I moved back to Kansas City in 1960. We remained close throughout Junior and Senior high and college afterwards. I was privileged to have him in my wedding and to be in his. I am sad to hear of his passing and remember many fond moments. Tom Anderson
