Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Dear McGrews All, How interesting it is that it takes someone’s passing for words to be expressed. You, as a individuals & as a family, have been very special in my life, & thought of often with fond memories. In fact, Kenny was with me as I recently planted my salad garden, as I remembered what a great garden he always produced. I felt like he was beside me coaching me. And another day recently, I could almost taste his fantastic ribs. Best ribs I’ve ever eaten! And, Jean, I was thinking, not too long ago, about our fun bridge afternoons together. And how much Anne loved to be your girl. I feel so lucky to have had the McGrews as neighbors. The bicycles, the dirt bikes, the motorcycles — the fun watching three brothers grow through their teens & beyond with great parents who participated full-out. Then, a few weeks ago, I ran across the Munich pictures with Kevin, when Anne & I visited you. That made Europe extra fun. I appreciate the specialness you all have added to my life. Please, feel my love & sympathy. Love, Barbara Hinckley Wirth

  2. We were sad to learn about the eath of Ken. We send our love and sympathy to you, Jean, and your family. Don and Vada Tipton Tom Tipton Mona Tipton Katz

  3. Kent and Corinne, I am so sorry for your loss, having experienced the loss of a parent in 05′ I know what you are going through. Just cherish the memories that you have and they will get you through the tough times. Hang in there, your friend, Brenda Fattig (IN)

  4. Jean and boys, You are in our thoughts and prayers during this time. I’ll always treasure the time I worked for Ken as he was my first, and favorite, manager in my 21 years with RCA. When I lived in Wichita before my marriage Ken and Jean were my second parents and many of a weekend were spent at their home. Being a parent now, I’ll consider myself a success as a father, if my son is as close to me as an adult as Kevin, Kent and Kelly are to Kenny. Again our deepest sympathies. Meredith, Cheri, Clayton and Mallory Marrs Carmel, IN

  5. Dear McGrew Family– As you know, Poppa Gew (thanks to my brother, Brad, who couldn’t say ‘McGrew’!) was very special to me as he was my godfather. I knew my parents entrusted us to very capable godparents (both Mama & Poppa Gew) should something happen to them. We would have been so lucky to have been in such a tight family. I have such fond memories as a small child riding on the gas tank of his largest motorcyle around the neighborhood honking the horn loudly. He will be so sorely missed. I am thinking of all of your families in this difficult time. All my best— Anne Hinckley Mason

  6. Dear Jeannie and family, We are surprised and saddened to learn of Ken’s death. Please accept our sincere sympathy. We have fond memories of him during the RCA time of our lives together. .

  7. To the McGrew Family: We’ll always remember Pop’s as a warm, and genuine man…. full of good humor and friendship. No doubt his proudest achievement would be the wonderful family he and Jean raised….a reflection of themselves. To a life well lived!

  8. Dear Jean and family, Our sympathy to you and all of your family. May the warm memories of the past, help you through this time of sorrow.

  9. Kent & Corinne We were sorry to hear about your loss. You will both be in our thoughs and prayers during this sad time.

  10. We have lost a good friend, Corvette buddy, and barbequer. I will truly miss him, his smile, and his conversation. Rest in peace good buddy.
