Daniel Ellwood Shisler, III It is with great sadness and a heavy heart the Shisler family announces that on Monday, January 29, 2018 Dan Shisler, at the age of 73, passed away in his home in Wichita, KS. Dan will be remembered by his sons family, Dan, Carrie, Evan, and Eleanor; the family of his deceased wife Lynn Shisler, Janet, Denny, and great-grandchildren; his sister, Janet, and her children. Dan, a long-time Wichita resident and retired Koch Industries employee, was an Air Force veteran, avid antique collector, pool player, and was known as Santa Dan to many children. His keen mind, quick wit, and ability to turn a pun was legendary - his laughter will be missed. A memorial service celebrating Dan will be held at his church of residence, New Hope Church, 1400 S. George Washington Drive at 10:30 am, Saturday, February 3, 2018. A memorial lunch for friends and family will follow the service at the church. Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.
