Henning, Michael “Mike” A., Sr., 92, died Thursday, July 5, 2012. Funeral Mass, 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 9. Rosary, 7:00 P.M., Sunday, July 8, both at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4411 W. Maple, Wichita, KS, 67209. Interment, 2:30 P.M., Monday, July 9, Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery, Winfield, KS. He enjoyed dancing, being the center of attention, and occasionally making a fool of himself. He “liked the night life; he liked to boogie.” Preceded in death by: wife, Kathleen; brothers, Lawrence, Al, Norbert, Cletus; sisters, Laurine, Lucille, Mildred; son, Michael Henning, Jr. Survivors: children, Kathy Richardson (Stan) of Mesa, AZ, Sheila Fox (Tina) of Kechi, Patrick Henning of Wichita; daughter-in-law, Betsy Henning of Hutchinson; brothers, Harold Henning (Kathy) of Topeka, Paul Henning (Maxine) of Dallas, KS; sister, Clara Swanson of Topeka; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
