JP , I am so sorry to her about Aunt Virginia. I always loved being around her. She made me laugh with just hearing her laugh. I know she is lighting up the heavens. I had gone to Wichita about 2 years ago for a seminar and she came and got me and we went to lunch then back to her house for a while. When we were at lunch she was so funny , she knew everyone that was working and eating there. She shared so much joy to everyone she knew.I will miss her so much!!! God bless you! I will be prayer for you. Love you , your cousin Michele Spurgeon

John Paul, Janet and family,
I cannot even begin to describe how sad I feel thinking of the loss of your mom and grandmother. I have so many fond memories of her. Her energy and sense of humor made it such a pleasure to spend time with her. She had a big heart and cared so much about people.
When I was 18 and we drove from Kansas to Montana (John Paul, you were a kid) we stayed in Cheyenne, Wy. It was "rodeo days" and she went with me to the hotel restaurant where a band was playing. We danced with some of the cowboys. She put on one of their cowboy hats as she danced. I can still see her. Everyone commented on how much fun my aunt was. They didn't know the half of it. She knew I was bummed out and she was trying to make me feel better. Her kindness and caring about people was one of her strongest traits. I only hope I can be as caring and positive a person as she was.
You are in my thoughts during this difficult time. Aunt Virginia was a great person and will be greatly missed. Your cousin, Beth

John Paul and family, I have so many fond memories of my sister, Virginia. I can still hear her infectious laugh. She always lit up the room when she was there. Always similing and she would look at the bright side of live. She will be terribly missed by her family. Maybe someday I can share some of the memories with your children. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Dear John Paul, Janet and Family -
My deepest sympathies go out to you at this difficult time.
I have many fond memories of your Mom "Ginny" having worked with her at the VA in Dental Service from 1985-1989. I'll never forget the day shortly after I began working, she and I were talking about where we grew up and come to find out she and my Mother grew up in the same area in northeastern Kansas (Paxico and Newberry) and knew each other's families! Such a small world... I really enjoyed working with Ginny - she was always kind, helpful, fun to talk with and be around!
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our condolences and prayers are with you and your family. Your Mom (and Dad)were unique, special people. You may remember me; your Mom was most helpful when I took my first Chief's job in '85, and was a special freind, almost like a "surrogate Mom"! I have always remembered her and rest assurred, we will keep her in our prayers. They were wonderful people; I'm sure she rests in God's heart. God bless you all.

I knew Ginny through church at St. Joe. I had only met her a few times, but she left a lasting impression. She was always so cheerful, funny and very sweet. I remember her most by her beautiful smile. She was always smiling when I saw her. When I think of her, I still can see that wonderful smile. She will be greatly missed.

Dear John Paul and Family:
I am sorry to have learned of the death of your mother. You and my sons are about the same age (especially Sean). I remember both of your parents and times of fun they had with my parents. I appreciate all they did for my parents. Especially, I appreciate the help your mother gave to mine this last year, by checking her mail, picking up the newspaper and the telephone calls she made on behalf of my mother to check on Mom. I know she can hear my "Thank You, Virginia." Thank the Lord I thanked her in person too. May her memories give you solace.

John Paul and Family,
I was your Preschool teacher at Asbury Preschool. I always enjoyed you and your parents so much. They were so supportive and helpful in all areas. Your Mother was always helping with parties, field trips, etc. and was so loved by the children, teachers and other parents.
I know your Mother will be missed by many but I realize that loosing a Mother and a Grandmother changes the family dynamics greatly. May God provide the strength and the comfort that each of you need at this difficult time.

John Paul-
I am so very sorry to hear about Aunt Virginia. Your parents were both so very special to me. I loved so much when all of you would visit Omaha. As a kid I always stayed at Grandma's so I could spend more time with all of you. Your Mom was always so sweet to me and everyone. She was the nicest person and her smile and laughter would brighten up anyone's day! Her jokes that she would tell were Hilarious-not sure if it was the joke or her but I still laugh thinking about them! I have so many wonderful memories of both your parents! Aunt Virginia and Uncle John were both so wonderful and I know they are happy to be together again!
Let us know if there is anything we can do for you and if you are in the Omaha area again let us know I would love to see you and your family again!

John Paul,
We were very sorry to hear about your Mother's passing. She was always one of our favorites. Her sense of humor, her jokes, and that wonderful laugh of hers was contagious. She always made the family parties so much fun. Both she and your dad were that way. Of course she was always teased about her cleaning - and using the Lysol everywhere. However, we were always glad she was there to make the clean up go quickly. What a treasure she was to this family. We have missed having her at the family parties for some time. Her memory, however will always remain in our hearts.
Our love and prayers are with you at this difficult time
