Public Tributes
After a great day spent with all of her children, mom got her hair cut, finished all of her ice cream for dessert and posed for family pictures. She said she was going home. The next morning she went home to be with dad.
We love you mom. Please watch over us.
--Ted (Feb 10, 2010)

Dear Ted & Family:
I can't tell you how many times we ended up at your folks basement playing loud music, drums and other teen nonsense, only to find two of the kindest, & sweet parents upstairs who always had an interest in what we were up to!
I don't believe I had that much patience when my kids started bringing home buddies to horse around my house!

The Cranes, Warrens, Allins, Grafs & more share my condolences to you and your great family during this difficult time.

I live in Manhattan, Kansas & get the Eagle online & read your Mom's obituary.

Take care Ted & Family!
God Bless!

Brian & Kathy Warren

My heart breaks for you all. There are no words to ease your pain. All of the wonderful memories of her will begin to replace some of the heartache.
Most important of all, the promise you have to see her again will get you through the hardest times.
I am praying for you all.
Love to all the family.

your sorrow at the loss of your mother, grandmother, Rita.
Amy, Ted and Ryan always spoke so lovingly of her visits to
their home in Houston and I know she will be missed tremendously. Her legacy lives on in all of you and she had to be very proud. Hopefully, your memories will sustain you
in the days ahead! Much love and Prayers! Ray & Lee Atnip, Amy's sister and brother in law

Dear Ted & Family,

I only met your mom on one or two occasions--but she was AWESOME! She immediately made me feel comfortable, as if I were talking to an old friend.

I can't even imagine the heartache you're going thru. But I do know this---

The love and warmth she radiated was definitely the "Christ Light"---and she's with Him now. And though everyone here is sad and mourning her loss...in heaven they're jumping up and down excitedly, screaming, "Here she comes! Here she comes!"

Bet they're having one heck of a celebration there!

My sincere sympathy to all of Rita's family. Jack and I had very fond memories of Rita and Tom. We were friends together since Rita and I worked together at Southwestern Bell before our marriages. After our marriages,we spent many weekends together playing poker all Saturday night and fixing breakfast together in the morning. She was a real lady. I shall miss her

Words can not express the void in my heart left by the passing of your mother.

I have hundreds of memories of the Leftwich family. Camping trips, vacations, etc. You all know what I'm talking about. We had many good times! Family reunions, spend overs & the like.

I also had the pleasure of working with Rita for many years. We had a wonderful work relationship as well. I believe we were very close.

Her number one priority was family. We had many discussions about you guys & how everyone was doing & all about your families & the many grandkids that she adored.

She will be truly missed by us all. Rest in peace Rita.

Love you guys! Thanks for the memories.
