A true care giver. Someone who always put others before herself. She used her time and talents to serve other. She always gave grace to my brother and I for being ornery. Love you grandma. Enjoy your rest

Deborah Bumpus left a message on June 8, 2019:
Mom was very generous with her time and talents. A sewing prodigy from childhood. She made Easter dresses, a prom dress, bridesmaid dresses and made my wedding dress. Family and friends depended on her to sew dresses for their weddings. She even had material sent to her and made a dress by phone that ended up fitting perfectly. She took up cake decorating and made birthday and wedding cakes for family and friends. She then took up flower arranging to add to her list of talents. So now she was doing the cakes and the flower decorations. She created arrangements for weddings and funerals. Mom enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren when their parents went to work. The kids loved her very much. She was always willing to take in a stray cat when they came to her door needing help. Then they decided they liked it there and decided to stay. She always said the angels brought them to her with the exception, a opossum brought Larry her favorite cat. She always put family before herself.
