When Shirley Horine contemplated her next career move, she envisioned a position where she could help those in need; a position that would make a difference in the lives of those she served. Becoming a consultant for Downing & Lahey fit exactly. Shirley had always been impressed with the professionalism and quality of service provided at Downing & Lahey.

Shirley spent several years in the retail industry, where she performed  duties ranging from store ownership, management, counseling and more. Shirley felt right at home joining Downing & Lahey.

Experiencing the long illness and recent loss of her husband, Ed, gives Shirley an insight into assisting others in similar situations. She cares for those around her and uses this caring attitude every day as she assists others as a pre-planning consultant.

Shirley delights in spending time with her son, Rich Davison, and his family. Both grandchildren are in college with varied interests. She also enjoys her church home, First Baptist, in downtown Wichita.
