Randy Myers has a passion for helping others. It brings him joy to help someone in need. So it's only fitting that he decided to pursue a career in the funeral industry, joining Downing & Lahey as the mortuary's Pre-Arrangement Coordinator.

Randy learned firsthand how important pre-planning is to a family. His grandfather died unexpectedly while he was in high school. In this time of loss, his family went down to the local funeral home to make arrangements, only to find that grandpa had completed those arrangements years prior. It was a tremendous relief and a real comfort to the family knowing that those details had already been taken care of. Since then, Randy has believed that everyone should have the opportunity to plan ahead. To him, it's one of the most loving, thoughtful acts of kindness a person can perform.

Randy was attracted to Downing & Lahey because of the caring attitude and tireless attention to detail demonstrated by the staff and owners. Being part of a locally owned organization also weighed heavily in Randy's decision.

Randy's charming wife, Linda, is a nurse in the geriatric field, while his daughter, Alexandra, is a kindergartner at Vermillion Primary School in Maize. When he's not working, Randy enjoys playing outside in the back yard with his daughter and their puppy, Sebastian, or performing musically as a soloist.
