Funeral Director/Embalmer

An experienced funeral professional, Michael E. Bina recognizes the difficult transition families must endure when facing the loss of someone they love. So he approaches his position as a funeral director and embalmer for Downing & Lahey as more than just a job. It’s about building trust and relationships with the families he serves, and providing the kind of professional care and sensitivity that will help families through their time of need.

Michael’s respect and concern for the needs and wishes of families he serves makes him a valuable member of the Downing & Lahey team, and he, in turn, appreciates the fine reputation the mortuary holds, both in Wichita and across the state. He feels that the honesty, ethics and caring exhibited by the owners and staff at Downing & Lahey set the mortuary apart, and is proud to practice his profession with such capable colleagues.

Michael and his wife, Gretchen, have three boys, Cooper, Crayton and Mason, and attend church at Resurrection Parish. In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball, lifting weights and spending time with his active family.
